- Call your local library and find out the web address where you are able to search and check out e-books.

- Once you see your book on the right hand side and the Nook listed on the bottom left hand side. Click on the book and drag it to Nook. Wait until it is copied fully, as indicated by the progress bar.

Post a CommentHELP!!! My library uses something called OverDrive Media Console and I'm so lost trying to figure out how to transfer things over to my Nook. I called the library and they said there is a Nook problem and the company is working on it... but what do I do in the meantime? The book I wanted is only available as an audiobook... NOT exactly what I was looking for. I downloaded it anyway.. to see if i could transfer that and NO luck. Can anyone help me? The library sure couldn't. I even tried to plug my android into the computer and that's not working either.. wants some kind of software to recognize it. Why does electronics have to be so darned complicated anyway?
I just downloaded my first public library book to my Nook, thanks this site's drag and drop instructions. Thank you very much. Too Cool!
I'm in smalltown USA. My local library doesn't offer ebooks....is there another option for me?
THANK YOU 1000 x's Thank you. Your directions are clear and well written. Bookmarking this page...YOU ROCK!!
Thank you! Your directions were the only ones that allowed me to successfully download my library book. The directions were VERY clear.
Ditto! I've been trying to figure out how to download from the library and your directions were clear and concise. The Nook creators probably don't tell you how to do this in the manual because they want you to BUY books. I purchased this particular device (rather than a Kindle) BECAUSE it is compatible with my library system. Thanks again.
Thanks! Very helpful. I spent the last 2 nights trying to figure this out before I found your instructions.
Thanks for the great instructions. The nook instructions nor the B&N website address library books.
Thank you very much for the instructions. This worked perfect and the library book is now on my nook color. If it wasn't for your instructions I would have never figured it out as the manual does not address public library books.
I followed these instructions and everything worked out fine for my first download. Now I'm here for another book but can't get Nook to show up at the bottom left of the Adobe Digital screen. Any suggestions? BTW, this page has been very helpful!
