Q2 Cube Radio: A Radio Minus the Controls
Only Way to Use it is to Tilt the Cube in Different Directions
A first glimpse at the Q2 Cube Radio might lead you to think that it is not a radio at all. This is because this unique radio comes with no annoying knobs or volume controls to play around with. For the novice user, like myself, you will be wondering how you actually operate the Q2 Cube Radio. Luckily I was able to attend a recent Massachusetts trade show that taught us how the product actually worked. Let me just share with you that it is pretty damn neat.
The Q2 Cube Radio comes in several different bright colors. Some of these colors include bright pink, neon green, and sky color blue. These colors are what draw you to the product to test it out in the first place. When up close you will need to press one simply button to turn it on. Once you have turned the Q2 Cube radio on you are ready to use it. The only way that you are able to find your radio stations and change the volume is through tilting the cube.
Tilting the cube is what makes the radio both unique and fun to use. You will have to tilt the cube radio in all sorts of different directions to achieve changing the station or turning down/up the volume. It is kind of frustrating at first but can be fun as well. As long as you are one of those people who enjoy good challenge, this is a product that can keep your thoroughly entertained. If you are not someone who likes a good challenge you might want to stay as far away from the product as possible!
In order for the Q2 Cube Radio to work it uses a gravity switch. The gravity switch is built into the radio and will be able to sense whenever you are moving the cube radio around. This is going to be a product that will be a most have amongst children and adults a like. It is both stylish and fun to to play with and could become a second radio in the home. Keep your eye open for the Q2 Cube Radio as it should be coming out sometime in 2011.
