Quaint Coffee Shops in Macclenny, Florida

30 miles west of Jacksonville, Florida is the growing suburb of Macclenny, Florida. Recently, the town has grown by leaps and bounds, and has added three quaint and unique coffee shops to the lineup of businesses. The three new coffee shops that have been added in the past couple of years are Ellianos, Amuse Cafe Emporium, and Calendars Pizzeria and Coffee Shop.

1) Ellianos Coffee Shop is probably the only drive through coffee shop in the retail market. It caters solely to drive through service. The shop is a national chain, which was founded in 2002. The local Macclenny store opened in 2007. Most of the Elliano Coffee Shops have double drive through windows available for service. The shop serves several specialty coffees including Hawaiian, Big Sky, and Columbian brands. They also serve smoothies, cappuccinos, and their own variant of a frappacino called a freezer. Not only can you purchase their coffee by the cup, but you can purchase the beans or grounds by the pound to take home for your later enjoyment. Ellianos also offers breakfast items including pastries, bagels, muffins, croissants. During the remainder of the day, the shop continues to sell pastry and cookie items. 2) Calenders Pizzeria and Coffee Shop has grown substantially since arriving in Macclenny just two short years ago. At first, they were simply a sandwich and coffee shop. Recently they added a line of pizzas and expanded their store with a back room that includes a small bar and a couple of pool tables. Although it has expanded its service, it still retains the feel of a quaint coffee shop. On most weekends, you can find local jazz and indie bands or performers entertaining the crowds. The owners hope to soon sponsor a street art show to highlight local artists in the small suburb of Macclenny. However, if you frequent calenders for the coffee, their specialty seems to be the American Blend and the Mocha Blend. They serve traditional coffees and cappuccinos . In addition, they have probably the best hot chocolate that can be found in North Florida. As of yet, they have not added Francine's or smoothies to their menu. 3) The third and newest addition to Macclenny's coffee shops is Amuse Cafe and Emporium. The shop highlight s coffee bar,. and also has numerous tables for customers. They offer not only coffee and cappuccinos, but a full array of lunch menu items, including, Homemade Burgers,Chicken Salads and Chicken Salad Sandwiches. I recently had the pleasure of eating there, and have to say they have the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever eaten. The sandwich is made with pecans and apples, in addition to the usual ingredients. Their line of coffees includes American and Dark Roast blends. They have a full line of lattes and cappuccinos.
