Quakertown WalMart and Customer Service
Is the WalMart in Quakertown, Pennsylvania Treating Their Customers Right?
Quakertown, PA 18951
United States of America
For about four years now, I have run into the same problem at the Quakertown WalMart - Customer Service issues. No matter how many complaints I put in, it seems that no one really cares and the employees treat customers as if they don't matter. What happened to the customer is always right? has Quakertown WalMart forgotten that their store doesn't exist without us? Or do they know that even after complaint after complaint, people will still succumb to their "boycott" and enter in the doors of Quakertown WalMart once again?
I needed to sound off, because no matter how many people in management from the Quakertown WalMart I have spoken to, I still get lousy customer service. I recall one day walking to the from on the store (outside) and in the cigarette tray was a small fire. Me and my husband preceded to tell management where they said that they weren't concerned, as long as it's in the ash tray it will go out! What if a costumer got burned? What if someone passing by threw a napkin in the fire? What if a little child was injured because of an "astray" fire? Perhaps then, the WalMart in Quakertown would have cared!
I recall a time I went into Quakertown WalMart and asked a WalMart associate if they carried snow suits for children older than 12 months, since that was the only size I could find. I was told that if I don't see it, I should just assume they don't carry it. I asked if it were possible that this particular WalMart was just sold out of the other sizes, or if they may have more in the back stock room, again I was told a straight up by the WalMart associated "I don't know, maybe you could go to another WalMart to see if they have it" This wasn't coming from a newly hired high school worker who wouldn't have yet obtained true customer service skills, but rather a long time WalMart associate!
Quakertown WalMart all too often seems to forget that the customers who walk in those doors, help fund their paychecks! It is such a shame to see customers treated with such disrespect and disregard as they do at the WalMart in Quakertown.
I was just at the Quakertown WalMart the other day, when a Christmas item fell to the floor as we passed, throwing hundreds of tiny, sharp pieced of glass all over the floor. I immediately ran, with my three children, to find the closest store employee. I told the woman back in fabrics that there is a ton of glass all over and someone is going to get hurt. She ROLLED her eyes, and said to me that i was talking to the wrong person, that I have to go over to customer service and tell them about the problem so they can page management! Are you serious? I looked at her and said "Ma'am I have three children with me, I understand that cleaning this up is not your job, but please, couldn't you page customer service?" She then turned her back with a sigh and said "this isn't my job either, I am not even allowed to touch it" as she walked away. I heard her holler to another associated "can you page maintenance, some customer was supposed to come up here but she didn't and theres something broken in another isle"
Did this WalMart associated take two seconds to think that every second that glass is scattered across the floor, is a second that a customer or child could have been seriously hurt?
I like WalMart, I really do, but I prefer to go to the WalMart in Hiltown, where I am greeted with a smile, associated come up to ME asking if I need help and they even call other local WalMart's to see if items are in stock. What ever is going on at the Quakertown WalMart, I don't know, but I hope they straighten out and start respecting their customers. If i notice a change I will gladly write a rebuttal to this article, until then - my statement remains the same. Quakertown WalMart violates their own customer service policy!

Post a Commentbtw, this story of yours is nothing compared to the stories i could make about customers being rude and worse.
i've worked at the quakertown walmart since feb 09 and this story can't possibly be true.
anytime something is dropped or broken there's a page over the intercom or walkies for maintenance. every department has a phone and everybody knows how to use them to call the phone receptionist to page maintenance if they don't have a walkie talkie to call for them themselves.
and, a fire in the 'ash trays'? this has happened a few times before and anytime it's happened in the past, somebody ran out to pour water in it. the fires normally don't last long because the 'ash trays' are just open buckets and the cat litter in them is usually soaked. i guessyour right, it is possible a kid could have gotten hurt if their parent was being irresponsible. in my opinion one of the responsibilities of being a parent is watching your kids to keep them out of harms way and somebody who can't handle that shouldn't have kids.
as for the snow suit thing, i find that hard to believe. but then, we don't
I agree with Peakclover. You sound like a nit-picking pain in the butt. I'm a dissatisfied Walmart customer too, but I'm dissatisfied from real issues. I'm astounded you got upset when someone helpfully suggested you check another Walmart to see if they had your child's snowsuit size in stock. Surely you didn't want her to leave work, go there herself, come back and report to you her findings. She would have been fired. Quit being such a raging bitch. You're making other people's lives as miserable as your own.
