I am not asking you to surrender to my side.
I just want you to know that on cold nights,
I've felt your warm and loving hand upon my chilled cheek;
Even in the freezing darkness of last night;
I heard your voice calling for me.
It must have journeyed and survived miles of sky and sadness.
I allowed it to seek its home next to my ear
Quietly bleeding your mind's kind caress.
It sang so sweetly and freely,
As if it were spinning a warm hearts tale,
Unfolding;
Pouring invisible embraces from your sweet tongue,
Formed from candied words;
words that were borne especially for my own ears.
Just please know that,
what you whispered, has not left me.
I have refused to let it leave.
as it's presence warms my icy room.
Trapped there,
Lingering in mid-air
Dancing there,
Words that have touched and shaken me
So much that,
It seems,
I have crumbled like a swaying
Building;
Sat upon my God's green quaking earth.
