Successful leaders are rule-breakers.
A successful leader is unafraid of rules, policies, and regulations. Although the establishment of formal rules is necessary, they are only important to a leader on his or her terms. A successful leader never lets such irrelevant matters get in the way of running a thriving business.
Successful leaders are visionaries.
A successful leader is a visionary who can see an opportunity, determine how to make it work, and communicate the vision to others. Although the communication or explanation may be flimsy, the leader's staff is always able to make it work. Successful leaders only hire the best of the best.
Successful leaders are ruthless.
Directly challenging a successful leader is very risky business. It takes an unusual degree of negotiation and diplomacy to bargain with them. Consider, for instance, fashion mogul P Diddy. Diddy has a zero tolerance policy for questioning. If you even attempt to argue with Diddy, he has no problem terminating your position right on the spot. He may be an arrogant, stubborn, and ruthless ass, but he knows how to run a successful company.
Successful leaders avoid conflict.
Although successful leaders aren't afraid to put up a tremendous fight, they typically leave the bickering to their subordinates. In the meantime, they pay keen attention while actively listening and watching. Throughout the process, they never lose their ability to influence the decision. With one swift move, they can overturn the entire debate and make a final decision. But, successful leaders prefer to hire highly intelligent employees who can come to the right decision on their own accord instead.
Successful leaders maintain total control.
A successful leader always stays in the center of the decision making process. Basically, this means that all decisions must first pass through him or her. This way, a successful leader can always feel the pulse of the company.
Successful leaders take risks.
Successful leaders take the risks that others are afraid to pursue. Imagine if Bill Gates hadn't started a computer company, or Master P had not sold tapes out of his car. They obtained their success by taking immeasurable risks. Although losing would have meant financial disaster, they shot forward with the confidence and arrogance only kin to successful leaders.
