Quality Inn, 543 Warrenton Road in Fredericksburg, VA

My Review

On the way home from Florida we dropped our travel trailer off in South Carolina to be stored for the winter. That meant we had to find a pet-friendly motel in the Virginia area so we would be about half way home.

I got on the Internet and read reviews. They are so important. I don't want to stay somewhere that is across the street from a truck stop or that people claim is dirty. Quality Inn located at 543 Warrenton Road in Fredericksburg, VA was given good marks. You can reach them at 540-373-000.

The Quality Inn is surrounded by stores and restaurants so if you are hungry or need gas this is a great exit to get off at anyway (133 off of I-95).

You will want to stop at the Visitor Center when you arrive in VA and pick up a coupon book. It will save you perhaps $10. Our pet was $10 and with the coupon the total for one night was $66. I thought that was great price for a clean motel with breakfast.

We parked right in front of our door making the fact we had a lot of our possessions in our truck comforting. There was a small lobby which was next to the breakfast area. Coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day. Check in was easy. The young woman was very friendly. She gave me a code for the free Wi-Fi that worked! The clerk also gave me a bag with two dog bones and a plastic bag to pick up after her.

The entire motel is non-smoking. We arrived in our functional looking room with two double beds, a table with two chairs, a small desk and desk chair, a dresser with a television on it and amenities such as shampoo, iron, etc. Each bed had three pillows which impressed me. This is a two-floor motel with vending machines outside. The room was spacious, clean, and had a lot of light so I could read. It was attractive enough to not be institutional looking.

We took turns bringing breakfast back to our room since we had our dog. Offered were English muffins, yogurt, muffins, juices, eggs, waffles, sausages, and coffee - quite a bit. I was expecting coffee and pastries.

We slept well since this is not a noisy area. You will hear traffic but you should not hear people hanging around.

I wouldn't hesitate to go back to the Quality Inn in Fredericksburg and I certainly recommend it.
