It has long been established in the self-improvement realm that in order to change our circumstances, we must first change the way we think. Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich", first published in 1938, is one of the most noted books exploring the methods of training the subconscious through visualization and belief to create your own success. Although it may seem that these methods are founded in philosophy, there is also scientific evidence as well as historical documentation supporting this thesis.
It may first be prudent to offer some background information about the Tower of Babel and the theory of quantum physics to demonstrate what Napoleon Hill supposed in the writing of his book.
The Tower of Babel
The story of the Tower of Babel (Gen 11:1-9) explains that originally all people of the earth had the same language. After the Great Flood, the people came from the east and gathered together in the plain of Shinar where they purposed to build a city and tower that would reach up into the heavens. Their motive for this action was to make a name for themselves, which eventually evolved into the same forms of corrupt nature that stirred the wrath of God causing the flood in the first place. God saw this, confounded their language, and spread them abroad ceasing their plans for the tower.
Quantum Physics Theories
Although a study of quantum physics is outside the realm of this article, some of its theories and natural laws are explained as they pertain to this subject.
Quantum Physics is the science that explains how everything in our world comes into existence, whether it be a physical object or a thought or emotion, is made up of energy vibrating at different wavelengths.
The Laws of Attraction-like energies are attracted to each other, while opposing energies repel
Cause and Effect-there is a cause and effect relationship to every aspect of nature i.e. for every action, there will be an equal and opposite reaction.
In the beginning
According to the Bible, God spoke the world into existence. He said, "Let there be light", and there was light, and for six days created our universe through the spoken word. Later we read that man was created in God's image, so it would stand to reason that we on some level have the same capabilities. This point is illustrated in the Tower of Babel story. When God saw their work, and that "the people were one" He knew that nothing would be restrained from them, meaning that using the laws of quantum physics their thoughts and ideas were under the influence of the law of attraction and cause and effect , and these collective thoughts would eventually be made reality. There was nothing stopping a like minded group from focusing their thoughts on one object to make it a reality.
A more recent example made history when in 1960, President John F. Kennedy told a group of scientists and the nation that the United States would put a man on the moon in 10 years. Remember, at this time, space exploration was science fiction fodder and no one really had any concept of how this would be accomplished. Through focused energy and singularity of purpose, that impossible feat was made a reality within the 10 year deadline.
What does this mean?
Tying this all together, the laws of quantum physics have proven that vibrational energies, appropriately directed, will be manifested in reality, and a change in the vibrational energy will bring about a physical change.
Since every form of energy in the universe is subject to these laws, it stands to reason that we, as humans, are also. Good thoughts and energy produce good results and bad produces bad. We have the capability to transform our reality by manipulating our thought patterns and focusing our attention on a desired outcome, or we can allow our subconscious mind to randomly create a reality based upon our inherent beliefs and attitudes. Since our reality is an extension of our subconscious thoughts, we can choose to change our reality using the physical laws of nature to our advantage, and attain optimum results.

very interesting and even more so that in my own journey I have been reciving numbers. I see them everywhere and through many syncronistical events keep getting led to quotes in the bible 11.9 Luke ask and you shall receive and genesis the tower of babel 11.19.....I have never read the bible nor flipped through looking for quotes of relevance. interestingly the number I keep receiving 119! I think you are very right! ask with faith and you shall have
thought provoking. I don't know if I agree with what you are saying, but it is definitely very interesting, nonetheless.
