Queen Elizabeth, a Humble Exhortation!

A Royal Poem for a Royal Queen

Nora Nick
by order of royal command I am to write a verse for her royal majesty the queen Elizabeth(if she by chance reads this and cares to donate to my purse my efforts will be compensated)

Twixt veils of finest threads lies naked a human god
Ten rows of gold and ten of silver natural spun and bond
Twice of molten emerald and wizard's pearl yet not clad

The god in body sees the world as if for the first time
At each glance raptures with His Creation and sees not the line
Of endless eons and bygone days for he is god and says mine

And mine ye are Elizabeth, the queen of faerie isles
May all isles bless your name and invoke your presence dear lady of all Niles
Let their be rivers of joy and none on curse in your families toils

God bless Elizabeth, the Queen.
