I am constantly searching for new and better skin care products. There are times when I spend more money than I should on an expensive product hoping for better results. What I have learned through these endeavors is that you don't necessarily need to spend alot of money to get results. Case in point, Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. I was recently turned on to this product by a friend of mine who swears by it. With a price of $2.99 at my local Target, I figured it was worth a shot. I went to the their website and read that The Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque has been used since the early 30's and they haven't changed the formula over the years. The product promises to help dry up acne and rinse away blackheads as well as shrink up enlarged pores. I was very intrigued by this promise. One thing I do have is enlarged pores and few blackheads. I was eager to give this product a try.
That same evening I tried my new mask and I was impressed with the results. The mask is green and smells like, what else, mint. The product goes on thickly and you feel a little bit of tingling as it's applied. After you apply the mask, you need to wait for it dry. This takes about 15 minutes. Once the mask is dry, you simply wipe it off with a washcloth and warm water. The results, for me, were immediate. As soon as I washed the mask off, I could see a new glow to my skin. I looked refreshed, healthy, and just like they say in those cheesy commericals, radiant. It did improve my pores, they seemed to be smaller and less noticeable. This mask certainly perfomed as well, and in some cases better, than the higher end products that I have tried in the past. My experience with the Queen Helene Masque has made a convert out of me. I love this mask and have made it a staple product. I am looking forward to trying other Queen Helene products in the future and I would recommend this mask to anyone looking for an effective and affordable facial product.
