UsingQueen Helene's Mud Pack Masque
Like with most facial products this mud pack masque was pretty easy to use. You wash your face, so that it's nice and clean, and then smooth the product over your skin. Mine was cold, but really smooth to the touch. The smell is okay. It isn't perfume-like, but it isn't unpleasant, either. Almost immediately, you can feel the mud pack masque start to try on your skin. You can see it, too, if you look in the mirror. It gets lighter, and if you move your face around, it starts to crack. After the masque is hardened, you can wash it off with soap and a washcloth.
Queen Helene's Mud Pack Masque: Performance
Of course, the real question is, how well does it work? A beauty product can be easy to use, but if it doesn't follow through, functionally, you're wasting your time (and money). Performance-wise, the Queen Helene's product certainly felt like it was working. You do get a nice tightening sensation as it dries... but that could just be the mud. However, when I finished, my skin definitely felt softer.
It promises to tighten pores, but that's something that takes a while to see. Even if it does work, this mud pack masque isn't going to shrink anyone's pores away to nothing. Only magazine air brushing does that!
Did Queen Helene's Mud Pack Masque clean my face like it promised? I don't know! I washed my face before, like the directions said I should, so it felt clean before the mud even touched my skin, making this product's clean factor a little harder to judge.
However, it definitely did help relax the muscles in my face, and I felt all around more positive about my skin after using this beauty product.
Should You Buy It?
This question is always made on an individual basis, though some generalizations can be made. You should not buy this product if you are hoping it will give you tiny pores instantly, or if the idea of mud on your face seems unpleasant. This product would be good for you, however, if you sometimes feel like your face is showing too many signs of stress, like frowning wrinkles. It won't take them away, but it can help relax your face so that they aren't so prominent.
