Question Everything's Thought of the Day, December 31, 2007

S. M. Bendock
Today's Quote: "New Year's eve is like every other night; there is no pause in the march of the universe, no breathless moment of silence among created things that the passage of another twelve months may be noted; and yet no man has quite the same thoughts this evening that come with the coming of darkness on other nights." ~Hamilton Wright Mabie

Ah, how true! The world does not march to the calendar of man, no matter how much we try to assume it.

New Year's eve, whenever you celebrate it, has so much meaning, all attached by us alone.

Like much in nature, the years cycle by in circles, and ends are only beginnings viewed from a different angle.

Today's thought is to make this the best of beginnings, to let go of old sorrows and move forward to new joys, with the memories of old happinesses creating the map to find them.

Ah, *stretch*, a life of ease elludes me. I love people, music, reading, writing, football, and nature. I love to debate and can usually see both sides of any topic.   View profile
