Questions Arising in the Death of David Carridine

Did Someone Kill Bill?

"Grasshopper," as he was known by millions, is no longer around to bring his laid back acting style to the small or silver screen. David Carridine career had recently recieved a great boost from his casting in the title role of Quentin Tarintino's 2003-4 films Kill Bill, Volumes 1 and 2. Many of us were familiar with him from the television series Kung-Fu, or its re-incarnation Kung-Fu: The Legent Continues.

Carridine was reportedly found hanged in his Bangkok, Thailand, hotel room on Wednesday. The incident was first, and unofficially, reported to be suicide. However, he was on location for an upcoming movie role in the film Stretch and was reportedly in high spirits.

Apparently a maid found the late actor with a cord wrapped around his neck and another wrapped around his genitals. Today, sites such as TMZ.com and thesuperficial.com are reporting that the actor's management, Chuck Binder, suspects foul play. According to TMZ, "the family has been told Carradine's hands were immobilized by the rope."

Thai police are said to be more inclined to consider the Kill Bill star's death to be accidental.

All one can say for sure is that the story is chock full of gossip column fodder.
