Questions asked to establish paternity before DNA

Paternity doesn't completely begin with strands of DNA. A man cannot be tested if you have no idea who to test. The testing can be done in private. Not everyone will need to know your personal matters.

Are you a mother who needs to prove to a man who the father is? Or do you not know who the father is and needs a test? There are some questions that may be required to be answered to help you on the path of finding the answer you are seeking.

Questions-

Who is the father? The name of the person you believe to be the father, has the right to know if he is to be a father in the next nine months. Or already is a father. This information is important to know. Even a simple photograph and not a name are better than nothing.

Where did you meet him? If you are unsure of the name, best remember where you met him is a vital key to finding him. The location can eliminate a lot of wasted time. There maybe someone there who knows him well and can lead you in the right direction.

Is there any other possibility it could be a different father? More than one man can be tested for DNA. This may take place if the mother had intercourse with more than one man during the time she conceived her child. A woman needs to be honest with themselves and others.

Menstrual cycle. This isn't a topic a lot of women or men like to discuss. However with the conception of a child, this is very important to know. A doctor will need to know when your last period was, to determine how far along you are. This will also help the mother determine who she slept with and when.

These questions are not intended to bring embarrassment to the mother. They are to bring confusion to an end, for the most part. When answering these questions be sure to be as honest as you can be. Do not leave any information out. Every bit of information is vital in a case like this.

Embarrassment should not be a concern. The child without a father is the main concern. Do not worry about anything else than the child you are carrying or are currently raising on your own.
