Quick Bachelor Party Checklist

Dale Miller
Congratulations on being chosen as the best man. There are so many ways and places to set up your bachelor party. You do want to do a good job, raise some money and have a good time right? Don't celebrate yet, you have a little planning to do and some phone calls to make.

Remember, It doesn't matter where you have the bachelor party. Some common places are at a hall, banquet room, bar, restaurant, park or even someone's house. With strippers you'll get more people to show, but all that extra money and then some goes to the entertainment. Sometimes up to half of the money raised goes to the entertainment. Without strippers you'll definitely raise more for your buddy. The groom usually just wants to have a good time with family and friends and raise some extra dough for the honeymoon.

Follow this simple checklist and it will help take some of the thinking out of your way. Besides, you do enough of that already, right? First, you will need a place to celebrate. Set up a time and date. Make sure the groom has that date open. Next, you can make tickets and set a price, usually around $20-$25. Sell some tickets to the groom's friends and family and assign the groomsmen to sell some to theirs also. You'll need door prizes and raffle tickets. Beer, liquor, pop and water are always good choices. Food such as pizza and wings, chips and pretzels are good menu items.

Fun things to have are: card tournaments, can jam, horseshoes, lasso golf, beer pong, darts, pool, bocce ball and the sports game of the night playing on the television. Don't forget to assign some tasks to the groomsmen such as selling raffle tickets, 50/50 split, playing music, drawing tickets, and donating a few prizes for the prize table.

Someone has to be sober so make sure there is a designated driver available. These ideas are just a few to help you get your planning started on the right track to having a fun and successful bachelor party.
