Quick and Easy Hairstyles for Long Hair

Long hair can be sexy and stylish but it can also be high maintenance. Here are some fashionable, quick and easy hairstyles for long hair that will cut down the time you spend doing your long hair.

Hairstyle 1: Naturally Wavy or Curly

If your long hair is naturally wavy or curly, you should embrace your hair and style accordingly. This will help save time dramatically. Start off by using a shampoo and conditioner that is geared towards wavy and curly hair. One of the best lines for curly hair is HALO Cur Shampoo and Curl Conditioner. It gives your hair frizz-free and contoured control. Additionally it adds volume, bounce and definition.

It is also important to add a shine and frizz-free serum to avoid an overly big hairstyle. A great product to try is made by Redken. It is called Glass 01 Smoothing Serum. It adds shine and flattens the frizz. If you have more course hair, use more serum. Always focus on the ends of your hair and avoid the roots.

Apply HALO Curl Enhancing Cream to towel-dried hair. Either let your hair dry or dry with a diffuser. Another tip to cut down time is to dry your hair one section at a time. You can pick up a diffuser at your local beauty supply. HALO and Redken products can be purchased at professional hair salons.

Hairstyle 2: Sexy and Straight

If your long hair is naturally straight, you should plump up the volume in your hair. Use a shampoo and conditioner that will help volumize your hair. Sexy Hair offers a line to help you get big volume. Use their Big Volume shampoo and conditioner to add sexy body to your straight hair.

Apply a volume spray such as Big Sexy Root Boost. Dry your hair upside-down to add extra body. When you are done, smooth hair into place and spray the roots with a strong hold hairspray such as Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play. Sexy hair products can be purchased at a professional beauty salon.

Hairstyle 3: Add Hair Accessories

After styling your long length hair, you can add fashionable hair accessories to add some excitement. One of the latest trends for 2010 is oversized neon bows and jewel-studded headbands. Just be careful not to look like a twelve year old-unless you are one!

Hairstyle 4: Half-Up, Half-Down

Whether you decide to style your hair straight or curly, you can add a kick to your look by wearing it half-up, half down. The best way to do this is to loosely pull all the hair up from the top of your ear, forward. You can pin up or even hold in place with a clear rubber band. This hairstyle is especially great when the weather is warm. Spray our style into place with your favorite hairspray. For extra-long lasting hold, use Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play hairspray.

Hairstyle 5: Loose and Low Ponytail

You can pull your long hair off your shoulders by putting a low ponytail into your hair. Simply style your hair curly or straight and pull back into a loose low ponytail. Fasten with a ponytail holder or clear rubber band. Hide the holder by wrapping a small section of hair around the base of your ponytail. You can also accent your ponytail by adding a small to medium-sized flower.

Regardless of what style you choose, remember that you can style your long hair quick and cute!
