Quick and Easy House Cleaning Tips

Clean Your Kitchen in Minutes

Victoria Williams
I have compiled a bunch of tips that I use every day in my own house to keep it clean. I have a husband, two kids and two dogs (indoors). As you can imagine they "help" in there own way and I appreciate everything they do. I just have my own particular ways of doing things. I have come up with little ways to make it easier to get things done without it being a "Chore" for anyone. Here are my tips on getting the Kitchen clean in no time at all. Do this regularly and it gets easier each time and takes less time too.

Does your kitchen become the catch-all for junk mail and any thing else that has no home? Put a key hook right next to the door so the keys are always readily available or a little side table with a bowl for them to be tossed into. Put little plastic storage bin on the table for the mail to go in until you are able to go through it ( don't forget to go through it at least once a week). Under the table can go another bin for shoes. Make a no shoes in the house rule( it will cut the dirt and dust down significantly through out the house). Assign someone to clean the dishes after each meal so they don't pile up and its easier to do a few then a lot all at once. I would rather do one meals worth my turn than an entire days worth on my turn. It might take me ten minutes once a day instead of 40 minutes every other day.

First you want to gather your supplies and be organized. You are less overwhelmed when you have a game plan and can see the big picture in front of you. You will need: a broom and dust pan, a mop, bucket and floor cleaner of your choice, glass plus multi-surface cleaner (for counters and any glass), non abrasive cleanser, a couple of cleaning cloths, an extended handle dusting wand.

Start with the dusting wand and dust behind and under all appliances, all corners, windows, doors and the ceiling. move to wiping off any markings from the walls, doorways and window sills. with the multipurpose cleanser spray the table and counters LIGHTLY and wipe down. Use the non abrasive cleanser to gently clean the stove and wipe out the sink. The final step is mopping yourself out of the room.
