Homemade iced tea recipes are easy to throw together because they only contain a few ingredients. The tea and berries can be mixed as and when needed, thus making it extremely convenient. The berries and juices that are used mainly come from summer fruits and so are affordable and readily available to buy in bulk. For the sake of five minutes, you might as well make iced tea yourself. It will taste better than anything in a bottle ever could!
Try the iced tea recipes below if you want a refreshing long and cool drink for parties or just because you need a quick pick me up.
Raspberry Iced Tea
Raspberry iced tea recipes are the most popular ones because the juice is so sweet and compliments the tea perfectly. All you need is 2 cups of tea, 2 cups of raspberry juice and a quarter of a cup of honey to sweeten. Mix all of the ingredients in a pitcher and use a whisk to stir the liquid briskly until all of the honey is completely dissolved. Simply pour the iced tea into 4 glasses and add a few ice cubes, et voila!
If you are not keen on raspberries then you could use cranberries. The taste is a little crisper but just as delicious!
Jasmine Iced Tea
If you want to try a few different iced tea recipes then this is one of those that you just have to try! You will need 4 cups of boiling water, 3 tablespoons of jasmine tea, a cup of brown sugar and 1 ½ cups of sparkling water. The recipe is a little different but no less delicious. Just mix the sugar with ¾ of a cup of boiling water until it has dissolved into a syrup. Allow that to cool while you are mixing the tea with the remaining boiling water for around 5 minutes. Filter the tea so the remains of the jasmine are removed and add it to the syrup in a pitcher. Stir it for a few minutes until the mixture is blended well and then add the sparkling water. You can serve it right away over ice cubes, making 6 to 8 glasses.
Apple & Honey Iced Tea
This is a deliciously refreshing option and, out of all of the iced tea recipes it is perhaps the easiest to make because the ingredients are usually readily available in the kitchen of most homes! You will need 3 cups of boiling water, 3 or 4 tea bags, ¼ of a cup of honey and 3 cups of apple juice. Add the tea bags to the boiling water in a pitcher and allow it to steep for 5 minutes or so, depending on how strong you like it. Remove the tea bags and add the apple juice and honey. Stir it well until the honey is completely dissolved and then allow it to cool in the refrigerator for fifteen minutes or so before serving over ice cubes in tall glasses. This makes 6 to 8 glasses so it's perfect for a summer party!
