Quick & Easy Lemonade

Looking for an alcohol free patriotic drink for the Fourth of July? Look no further because this recipe for red, white, and blue fruity lemonade will quench your thirst, is child friendly, and is so easy you will find yourself making it long after the Fourth of July has come and gone.

For this recipe you will need
1 Packet Strawberry or Cherry Kool-Aid
1 Packet Berry Blue Kool-Aid
1 Packet Invisible (your choice of flavor) Kool-Aid OR 1 Packet Lemon Ice Kool-Aid
3 Cups Of Sugar

First prepare each packet of Kool-Aid according to the directions (normally mixing with one cup of sugar) each in its own pitcher or container.

After each packet is prepared, carefully pour the strawberry/cherry Kool-Aid into ice trays and place into the freezer.

Next, pour the berry blue Kool-Aid into ice trays and place into the freezer.

You do not want to place the invisible/lemon ice Kool-Aid into the freezer, simply cover it and place it into the refrigerator until serving.

You will want to keep the Kool-Aid ice trays in the freezer until they are fully frozen.

Right before serving pour the invisible/lemon ice Kool-Aid into a large pitcher, place the frozen Kool-Aid cubes into the pitcher, and serve. As the cubes melt you will get a fruity lemonade flavoring.

Note: You will want to make sure the invisible/lemon ice Kool-Aid is cold or the Kool-Aid cubes will melt too quickly.

AN ALTERNATIVE:

If you do not like fruity lemonade or would like to simplify this recipe further, follow the basic direction above expect:

Instead of strawberry/cherry and berry blue Kool-Aid simply fill two pitchers with water and add red food coloring to one, and blue food coloring to the other. Pour each pitcher into individual ice trays and freeze. Finish following the after mentioned directions.

You may also feel free to substitute any flavoring of Kool-Aid with another flavor of the same color.
