Home Made Pizza that Any One Can Make

I have made this pizza for over thirty years. It is quick and easy. You can top it with anything from pepperoni to chicken or assorted vegetables. Use whatever you like.

Ingredients:
1package or 1 Tablespoon of dry Yeast
2 Tablespoons warm water + 2 cups warm water
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons sugar
½ cup oil
6 cups of flour.
cooking spray
topping of your choice.

Disolve yeast in the 2 tablespoons of warm water in mixer bowl. Add remaining ingredients except spray and toppings. Mix with dough hook on low speed for five minutes. If you don't have a mixer that will do this, add 4 cups of flour and them knead in the remaining 2 cups. Spray 2 pizza pans or cookie sheets with cooking spray, but I find it is easier if I leave about a half inch unsprayed. Divide dough onto the two pans. Then pick uyp the dough with clean hands and spread out. You do not have to throw this pizza. Work the pizza out to the edges keeping the dough as even as you can.

Let rise while you get the toppings together. If you want a thicker pizza let it rise up to 30 minutes

Toppings: Spread each pizza with ½ cup of your favorite pizza sauce. If you get it near the edge you will have less edge crust. Then add pepperoni slices, cooked sausage, sliced onions, mushrooms, green peppers, or whatever you like. Top with grated mozzarella. How much you use of any of these ingredients is determined by how you like your pizza. If you want a thicker crust use Hi-gluetin flour instead of regular flour. If you like double cheese, then you will want lots, but you can also skip the cheese entirely. On both pizza, I use about 16 ounces, about 6 ounces of sliced pepperoni and half of an onion sliced. I make our sauce out of a small can of tomato paste, 2 tablespoons of sugar,1 teaspoon of minced garlic, 1 Tablespoon of Basil and water to make a nice spreading consistency.

Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees in a preheated oven. Cool for 10 minutes and slice. Serve warm with a salad.

A pizza from a shop is a treat for me, but we prefer this recipe, which is fast enough to have ready for dinner in 45 minutes.

This does sound good and easy too. I like the part about letting the dough rise while you are gathering the toppings; no real waiting while the dough rises unless a thicker dough is desired. Your choice of toppings sounds great!
