Who doesn't love those expensive brands of ice cream that have tons of ingredients inside? But, who loves the price? That is exactly why you need to make this quick and easy summer snack. Simply buy a half gallon of vanilla ice cream and then choose the ingredients you want to add in. Allow the ice cream to soften (you could even do this in your microwave), but do not allow it to melt. Then stir in your favorite ingredients and place in small, disposable containers. This is great if you have kids who all like different flavors. This way, they have the ice cream they want, without you having to buy a freezer full of ice cream.
Quick and Easy Summer Snacks #4: Egg Salad Stuffed Pita
This quick and easy summer snack does require using your stovetop, but you could also do this on your outdoor grill. For this recipe you will need hardboiled eggs, which will only require having your stove on for around 10 minutes. After the eggs have boiled for 5 minutes, turn off the heat, put a lid on the pot, and allow the eggs to sit for 30 minutes. This will give you the perfect hardboiled egg, every time. Then all you need to do is cut up the eggs, add mayonnaise, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and place inside a piece of pita bread.
Quick and Easy Summer Snacks #5: Quesadillas
This quick and easy summer snack can actually be prepared on your outdoor grill in a matter of minutes. To prepare this quick and easy summer snack, you will need large flour tortillas, your favorite kind of cheese, and olive oil. Brush the grill with the olive oil and place on a flour tortilla. On one half of the tortilla, place your cheese and quickly fold the tortilla in half. Brown on both sides and enjoy. This is another quick and easy snack that can be fixed in a thousand different ways, simply by adding more of your favorite foods such as vegetables, meat, and even fruit.
