Quick Holiday Gift Ideas for Snowboarders

Jodi James
OK shoppers, gather round, because I've compiled an easy-to- follow shopping list for any snowboarder on your Christmas list this year.

Beanies: The classic snowboard beanie has gone from being a snowboarding-only accessory to popular street wear, so you can't go wrong with this idea. Snowboard beanies come in all shapes and sizes and are relatively cheap, whether you're shopping online or off. Beanies make great stocking stuffers and can be found in brick and mortar skate and snowboarding shops, as well as most clothing outlets.

Protective Gear: Keep those you love safe this snowboarding season with protective gear. Snowboarding helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards and even TailSaver Protectors will do just that.

Handware: Gloves or mittens are a necessity when spending a day out in the cold. A warm, padded pair of snowboarding gloves provides a little extra cushion for falls and will make your snowboarder's experience more pleasant.

Socks: There's nothing worse than having cold feet on the slopes! Help to bundle up your snowboarder with a new pair of snowboarding socks. Specialized socks provide all-over cushioning and moisture wicking materials to keep feet dry and prevent slippage in boots.

Board Bags: Snowboard bags are a must for transporting snowboards from home to slopes. Board bags help to protect the snowboard and also make it easier to carry around. Go for an ultra minimalist bag for easy portability or a wheeled travel bag for long trips away from home.

Cool Tool: The Dakine Cool Tool is a must for all riders. Cool Tools aid in making critical binding adjustments and fit easily into a jacket pocket.

Videos: Snowboarders love to learn new tricks and there's no easier way to do this than to pop in a DVD and watch some of the best riders compete. Professionals like Shaun White have instructional videos and DVDs for all levels of riders.

Passes: Gift certificates and lift passes make excellent gifts for those who love snowboarding. Send your favorite enthusiast to a new resort or pickup a season pass for their favorite hot spot.

Happy Holidays and happy shopping!
