Quick Second Honeymoon Vacation Destination Ideas

If you and your significant other have not taken a vacation since your wedding,or never took a first, then it is time you take a second honeymoon. This guide provides basic information on some great locations in a variety of climates. Included are links to travel articles I have previously written for a destination. All destinations could be kid friendly, but do not have to be. Finally, all destinations are listed alphabetically. Make a goal to save up for one of these vacation destinations. Everybody needs to take a vacation once in a while. No matter where you go, make it a memorable trip!

Chicago

The 'Windy City' is a good place to vacation if you want some time in the city amongst the skyskrapers. Chicago is home to the Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox. The city is also a great place to catch a major music concert or theater performance. Don't forget to try some of Chicago's signature deep dish pizza while you are in town. I recommend Gino's East. If you are looking for a large city vacation and all it has to offer, this is a good place to go.

Denver and the Rocky Mountains

The 'Mile High City' is the perfect vacation destination any time of year. Denver makes a great place to stay for a winter ski vacation in the Rocky Mountains, as there are many ski resorts within close proximity to Denver International Airport. The city is home to the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rockies and Colorado Avalanche, making it a great place for sports fans. If you prefer music, come during the warm season and catch a show at the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater.

How to Find Ski Resort Discounts

Willamette Valley, Oregon

Oregon's Willamette Valley is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Nestled between the Cascade Mountains and Coast Range, there are ample hiking opportunities. You can see old growth coniferous forests and waterfalls year round. I recommend Silver Falls State Park for a nice hiking tour of several waterfalls. If you like wine, there many wineries throughout the valley. Some of the cities you may want to visit include Portland, Eugene and Corvallis. Eugene is home to the University of Oregon and its Ducks. Corvallis is home to the Beavers of Oregon State. Both offer first rate NCAA athletic programs if you care to take in a game.
