If you are a beginner or an experienced quilter, there are classes available for all skill levels with the 80 classes that will be available. Classes are held at two different locations, the Smoky Mountain Convention Center and Music Road Convention Center . Please check here for all the details regarding registration, location of classes, dates and times. There is too much information to list here, so if you would like to attend this event use the Mountianquiltfest.com website as your guide.
There is even a link on the website with lists of supplies that you need for each class. Someone put a lot of work into organizing the site so that it is easy to follow and contains all the information you need.
Not only are there classes for quilters, but there is also a quilt show where contestants will be competing in 10 categories for $17,000 in cash and prizes. Click here for all the details for entering your quilts.
If you plan on visiting Pigeon Forge for the quilt show or just to do some tourist stuff, here are some links that will be helpful as to where to stay as well as some restaurants that you don't want to miss.
I have never been a quilter, but I have a quilt that my grandmother made and it is well over 100 years old. I don't think it would win a quilting contest because it is a very simple quilt. I have several handmade quilts that I have purchased over the years, and love to look at the beautiful colors.
If you would like to buy a quilt or take classes to become a better quilter, or enter the contest, stop by Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and visit the 17th Annual Quiltfest Quilt Show. Check out the winners and photos of last year's contest.
This is an annual event, so if you can't get there this coming March, keep the website as a favorite and check it out next year or the following year. Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is a great place to vacation whether you visit the Quiltfest Quit Show or just head there for the beauty of the Smoky Mountains .

I bet it would be amazing to see this many quilts.
I've never quilted, but I'd like to go to a quilt show.
There are so many quilt shows nationwide and they're all fun to visit!
I dont make quilts but it sounds like a fun trip.
Do not make quilts. Have been to Pigeon Forge one time after high school. Lovely place.
This would be great, thanks!
I love these hand made quilts. Say, is this in the neighborhood of Nancy G of Tennessee?
Sounds like fun, even though I've never quilted. My mom made one for me when I was little, though :)
Great work! Thanks for sharing =0)
