Quit Paying for Over Priced Coffee and Still Enjoy Your Roast
Coffee Doesn't Have to Come with a Steep Price to Be Gourmet
Coffee these days is more then just a simple dose of hot water passed over ground beans. We order lattes, mochas, cappuccinos and espressos by the gallon and pay out the nose for our morning wake up call. There are many ways to enjoy the pleasures of a warm serving of caffeine that is drastically cheaper and takes less time then standing in line for a tired barista to serve up our beverage.
Coffee coinsures have a discriminating pallet and can quickly note a brew that is past its time. One way to guarantee a fresh brew is by grinding your own beans. Coffee grinders are relatively inexpensive. A decent grinder can be found for under $20 and can grind barrels of beans.
Coffee beans themselves can be bought in a wide variety of flavors and blends to suit any need. You need not search out a specialty shop. Most large grocery stores now sell beans by the pound in many varieties. Keep your eyes open and you can save even more money. Stores will frequently offer dollars off their whole bean assortments.
Green beans, those that have not yet been roasted, can also be found on many online retailers. Beans can be roasted in your home oven and you can guarantee the freshness with out a shadow of a doubt by roasting the beans yourself.
Flavorings and creamers have also come a long way in the past few years. Gone are the days when your choice of cream in your coffee was limited to a large canister of white powder, or, if you are lucky, fresh cream in your refrigerator that tended to expire before being half consumed. Shelves are loaded with creamers in every flavor from Irish Cream to mocha. Seasonal flavors have become a favorite as well. Winter brings about varieties such as gingerbread and cinnamon sugar.
Soy creams are now available as well, and these also can be found in many different flavors. Silk brand has developed a hazelnut flavor that can make a cup of coffee sinfully delicious with just a few drops.
Coffee makers themselves have evolved from the percolator or the Mr. Coffee one purpose unit. Even budget brewers now offer taste selectors which allow you to adjust the darkness of the pot. Coffee makers can also be programmed to start brewing at a scheduled time and take seconds to set up. Home cappuccino makers can be found at prices under $50 with the added milk steamer.
Cups themselves have undergone a revolution. For less then $10 a connoisseur can find a travel mug that connects to a car cigarette lighter. The coffee drinker on the go can guarantee themselves a warm cup of joe no matter how long the commute.
For less then pennies a day and seconds a morning, the modern coffee aficionado can enjoy gourmet coffee. All it takes is a small investment in the right tools and the world of home brewing will soon replace that stressed and rushed stop. So sit back and breathe the beans while you drive past that overpriced shop.
