Qumana handles all the work for you. A person does not need to know HTML. Putting a picture within a blog post is a matter of clicking the image icon and importing it. Qumana also has another way of importing images: the drop pad. The drop pad hovers on your screen. Drag a file or picture to it and the picture is imported. To add a link in a post, you click the picture of two links. Qumana has made this blog editor so simple for bloggers to create posts and manage their blog. The overall feel of Qumana is similar to Wordpad. In order to change the size or font of the text, you highlight the words and choose how you'd like the font to look. Qumana even included a Spellcheck icon.
Many of us bloggers, especially those who use Blogger, spend a lot of time and energy on letting people know that we've updated our blog by pinging. There are three automatic pinging websites (Pingoat, Pingomatic, iPings). However, as helpful as they can be, they don't have nearly the options of pinging with Qumana. You can let Qumana know of every single ping you would like to make and each time you publish a post, it automatically pings them. In the Qumana Blog Manager, the user can click on Edit, Preferences, then the Ping tab and add as many pings as they want. This really does save A LOT of time for me and traffic has gotten better on my blogs because I never forget to ping and let people know I've updated it.
And if you've ever wondered about blog posts that have Technorati-style tags underneath the post, Qumana can help you with that, too. Simply clicking on the 'Insert Tags' button, a pop-up will appear and let you enter in any keywords that you would like your post to be identified with. Qumana only gets buggy with me when I try to enter in my own HTML, such as the location of a photo at ImageShack. The other thing about Qumana that I don't like is that the drop pad never lets you forget it's sitting on your screen. Closing down the drop pad results in the whole program shutting down. Still, I find Qumana such a valuable blogging tool. I rarely ever edit or create a blog post using Blogger. Qumana is so simple that even a child could easily navigate it. Have I mentioned that Qumana does all this for your blog and is 100% free?
