Quote by Marcus Aurelius, Emperor of Rome

robritt
"How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it."

Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius was one of only the five good Emperors of Rome. He was ruler of Rome for a mere nineteen but tremulous years but is considered to be the wisest Emperor of them all. So wise was he that he was nicknamed "the Wise". He was a writer of works that are still used today, such as "Meditation", and a philosopher with many great things to impart to his people and the world. This quote is only one of such things that still apply in today's world.

So many are anger over events that have occurred recently, such as crooked people, uncaring banks, loss of their 401K money, investments, their jobs and even their homes.

It would be wise for them to abide by these words when we all need one another the most.

Thanks to all of you. It is good to be able to find a few minutes occasionally to be able to write again.Ivan is now in a nursing home unfortunately, but the place is six blocks from our home so I go down there a couple times a day. You are all very special to me and I'll try to write when time permits. Thanks for the lovely comments..
