These were the last words of Kit Carson, an American frontiersman Born in Madison Co. Kentucky in 1809. He was the son of an Scots-Irish farmer and raised in Missouri. He did all kinds of things after his father died when he was only seven and was one of fifteen children raised by this mother.
He spoke many Indian languages as well as Spanish. You can read more about his exploits at Wikipedia if you are interested. He died in 1868 from an an aneurysm in a surgeon's qyarters at Ft Lyon, Colorado and is buried in Taos, New Mexico next to his wife.

I was always a fan of Kit's, ever since I read a book about his life when I was 7. I did not know his final words, though. I only hope that I can go out with that kind of cool.
