Quote of the Week, Sir Winston Churchill
This Wonderful Man was a Painter, Politiican, Statesman and Great Writer
MY favorite Quote of Sir Winston Churchill is this one, which is so true of politics right now when things are in such a turmoil.
"An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last. "
By Sir Winston Churchill
Sir Winston Churchill (born in1874- Died in1965)
His life was not always easy yet he earned his giant reputation as a politician, statesman, orator, author, painter and war correspondent whose greatest moment came in 1940 when he became prime minister of Great Britain and led that country to defeat Germany in World War II.
Churchill's youth was anything but promising and usually ranked last in his class in school and spoke with a stutter. However, while serving in the British army, he landed a reporting job covering the rebellion in Cuba in 1896, writing five colorful and well-thought-out articles for a London newspaper. Thus began a long writing career that culminated in the Nobel Prize for Literature for his six-volume book "Second World War."
