Qutab Minar is located not far away from Delhi which is capital of India. It is the biggest attraction of southern Delhi. It is very easy to reach here. This is a perfect spot for a family outing. In addition to the main tower, there are more associated attractions like marble tombs, small towers, stone structures, palaces and never rusting pillars carved with wise verses. The tombs are of great emperors of famous dynasties. There is also a garden in the surroundings. This garden is well maintained and is a delight to watch.
There is a nominal fee to enter the site. Summer time is damn hot at this part of the world. So proper protection accessories are a must take when you visit here. Winter would be the best time to visit all attractions of Delhi. It is always advised that you take help of authorized guides rather than any other help. A guide is not a must because all the details are written beside the attraction.
Qutab Minar is a historic delight too. It stands an icon of many emperors and dynasties. All the attractions here have lot of stories to tell. It is this fact that make Qutab Minar stand out from other historic sites. I felt a mysterious feel while roaming around the different pillars. It is a must visit place for all history enthusiasts. It was this historical aspect that made my visit all the more unforgettable. You will see many of the milestones of dynasty which ruled Delhi decades back.
On weekends this place gets much crowded with mostly locals. Foreign tourists also come in large numbers. There are a number of hotels and restaurants nearby to Qutab Minar. Not all hotels offer quality service. Authorized guides helped me to find reputed hotels. There are also adequate travel facilities to and from this much hyped place. If you enjoy architectural delights, Qutab Minar will truly amaze you. It is a must visit for any one visiting India and especially Delhi.
