Update: Page Views at the end of September 10, 2009

Commentary:

First off let me say that we have just four participants in this race. I am sure they wouldn't mind if a few others joined them. Please leave a comment in the comments section or send me a message if you would like to join this race in progress. As long as the participants in this race are in agreement about letting in some late entries, I will allow it.

In the Race to 300,000 page views, Nneka started off a bit of a lead. However, Jennifer Wagner has literally taken off to the races. She has narrowed the gap to 7,765 page views. She remains in 2nd place and Patricia Sheasley remains in 3rd place.

In the total page views for the contest period Jennifer has been red hot and has opened up a lead over Patricia Sheasley and Nneka by over 22,000 page views. On September 4th, Patricia Sheasley move passed Nneka and into 2nd place and remained there since.

Recently, I made an announcement in the Associated Content Forum in a thread titled, Race to 300,000 page views. Basically, I mentioned that I was seeking all Associated Contributors with less than 150,000 page views that were interested in participating in a friendly competition with their peers to see who could reach 300,000 page views first.

Actually, there will be two sets of winners. The first set of winners (Gold, Silver and Bronze) will be those Associated Content Contributors who reach 300,000 page views first, second and third. The second winner will be the Associated Content Contributor who receives the most page views for the duration of the contest. Those Contributors that will be initially included will be those who indicate that they would like to participate by either posting in the forum thread, posting a comment on this article or messaging me prior to 12AM Mountain Time on August 11, 2009. Therefore page views that count that will be those that are credited to your account, beginning on August 11, 2009

I will reiterate that is not meant to be a cut throat competition, but rather a method to help, motivate and cheer each other on to 300,000 page views. I encourage commenting on this article as it updated. However, anyone that comments in a manner that is disrespectful to the process, another Associated Content Contributor, Associated Content or me will be deleted. I welcome your input with this matter. However, I alone will reserve the right to determine if a comment needs to be deleted

I will attempt update this page daily with the newest daily page view totals. You can usually find out your new total page view count by updating your profile each morning. If possible, please message your numbers to me when you know your updated total page views. If you cannot do this, I will check the numbers manually.

With such short notice, please notify other Associated Content Contributors that meet the eligibility requirement, those that have less than 150,000 page views that this contests exists. As long as an Associated Content Contributor meets the page view requirements, I will allow them to join the competition until 12AM Mountain time on August 11, 2009. I will have to be notified in a manner that I described above.

Please stop back regularly, because this article will be updated to provide an ongoing narrative of the race's progress.

I got 3000 views in two days with an old DO of mine about the Delimar Vera story. Right AFTER you checked my views I'm sure. :)

Patricia, that is a good idea. I will try to incorporate that into the updates.

Hey, if it's not too much trouble, when you post who's ahead, could you also post who had the number of actual PVs that particular month? A person who starts at 178,000 PVs is always going to be ahead of one who starts at 140,000, but the person with 140,000 may have garnered more PVs that in a week or a month than every one else, even tho they lost the actual contest.

Okay, put me in here, I have under 140,000. I'm already in the race for 500,000, but I think that's a hard run.
