Slideshow of the Race to 500,000 Page Views: #1

Update: Page Views at the end of November 16, 2009

Commentary:

Mike Hatz is still our leader in our race to 500,000 page views. Victoria Leigh Miller continues to have the wind at her back as she now trails by less than 9,000 page views. Don't dismiss any of the other racers as they all are capable of putting up big page views in a hurry.

In the total page views for the contest period, Jennifer Wagner continues to lead the pack with her impressive performance. Victoria Leigh Miller has jumped into 2nd place and now trails by less than 27,000 page views. Kofi Bofah is in 3rd place and he trails by less than 38,000 page views.

Update: Page Views at the end of October 30, 2009

Commentary:

Mike Hatz continues to lead in the race to 500,00 page views. Victoria Leigh Miller has snipped off about 31,000 page views from the lead and she holds 2nd place. Mark Albracht has dropped to 4rd pace and trails by about 31,000 page views. Kofi Bofah has made dents in the lead as well, cutting about 28,000 page views off the lead. Jennifer Wagner is in 5th, but discount her chances to win it outright as she already has cut about 36,000 page views off of Mike's lead. Nneka is in 6th.

In the total page views for the contest period, Jennifer Wagner continues to amaze the crowd by taking the lead by over 27,000 page views over Kofi Bofah who is 2nd place. He leads Victoria Leigh Miller who is in 3rd place, who has in turn has distanced herself from Mark Albracht and now trails Kofi by just over 3,500 page views. Mark sits in 4th place, while Mike Hatz and Nneka remain in 5th and 6th paces respectively.

Update: Page Views at the end of September 16, 2009

Commentary:

Mike Hatz continues to enjoy a healthy lead in the race to 500,000 page views. Mark Albracht and Victoria Leigh Miller are in a tight race for 2nd and 3rd place. Currently, Mark leads Victoria, but by less than 4,000 page views. Kofi Bofah is in 4th place and looks to be able to challenge for either 2nd or 3rd place.

In the total page views for the contest period, Jennifer Wagner is still turning up the heat. She leads the way with Kofi Bofah in 2nd place, trailing by less than 5,000 page views. Mark Albracht and Victoria Miler are dueling again. This time they are battling for 3rd place in total page views for the contest. As of now Mark has the slight upper hand, but leads by only about 650 page views.

Update: Page Views at the end of September 10, 2009

Commentary:

In the Race to 500,000 page views, Mike Hatz started off with a lead. He remains in 1st place. When the Race started Mark Albracht and Victoria Leigh Miller were in 2nd and 3rd places. They have retained those rankings respectively.

Jennifer Wagner is just as hot in the race to 500,000 page views as she is in the race to 300,000 page views and the race to 400,000 page views. She currently leads the pack. She took the lead on August 28, 2009 and has not surrendered it since that day. Kofi has made a nice run as well and he has taken control of 2nd place and Mark Albracht occupies the 3rd spot.

Recently, I made an announcement in the Associated Content Forum in a thread titled, Race to 500,000 page views. Basically, I mentioned that I was seeking all Associated Contributors with less than 250,000 page views that were interested in participating in a friendly competition with their peers to see who could reach 500,000 page views first.

Actually, there will be two sets of winners. The first set of winners (Gold, Silver and Bronze) will be those Associated Content Contributors who reach 500,000 page views first, second and third. The second winner will be the Associated Content Contributor who receives the most page views for the duration of the contest. The official start state will be August 3, 2009. Those Contributors that will be initially included will be those who indicate that they would like to participate by either posting in the forum thread, posting a comment on this article or messaging me prior to 12AM Mountain Time on 8/3/2009.

I will reiterate that is not meant to be a cut throat competition, but rather a method to help, motivate and cheer each other on to 500,000 page views. I encourage commenting on this article as it updated. However, anyone that comments in a manner that is disrespectful to the process, another Associated Content Contributor, Associated Content or me will be deleted. I welcome your input with this matter. However, I alone will reserve the right to determine if a comment needs to be deleted

I will attempt update this page daily with the newest daily page view totals. You can usually find out your new total page view count by updating your profile each morning. If possible, please message your numbers to me when you know your updated total page views. If you cannot do this, I will check the numbers manually.

With such short notice, please notify other Associated Content Contributors that meet the eligibility requirement, those that have less than 250,000 page views that this contests exists. As long as an Associated Content Contributor meets the page view requirements, I will allow them to join the competition until 12AM Mountain time on August 12, 2009. I will have to be notified in a manner that I described above.

Please stop back later for the next update. The next update will include information pertaining to the initial group of participating Associated Contributors.

This sounds like fun! Is it too late for me to get in on this? I'm far from 500,000 views, and it's past the official start date, but it would still be fun to try. :-)

This is a fun way to motivate writers. Well done Han!
