Race Car Driver Rahal Returns to Lincoln Park

Bobby Rahal, winner of the 1986 Indianapolis 500 race, will soon call Chicago his home again. Rahal recently purchased a 12 room mansion in the Lincoln Park neighborhood for $3.295 million. The mansion also boasts 6,600 square feet, five bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, a limestone facade, three fireplaces, a media room and a dumbwaiter. In addition, the home has custom window treatments, custom lighting an English conservatory, landscaped yard and a roof deck. When the home was first offered for sale in 2009, it was originally listed for $3.95 million and eventually reduced.

Rahal and his wife will once again call Lincoln Park their home when their New Albany, Ohio mansion sells. He has received some offers on the Ohio home, however, nothing to where he was ready to accept any offers. The 13,192 square foot Ohio home is listed for $4.75 million and has six bedrooms. Rahal, along with television personality David Letterman own Rahal Letterman Racing Team, which is located outside Columbus, Ohio.
