The Fourth of July has always been a special day in Lawrence County, Tennessee (especially in Loretto). Sacred Heart Catholic School has made it a tradition to host a picnic every Fourth of July. The entire town looks forward to it each year.
If your are runner, then you will not want to miss the races that kick off the day! Be there early and get the fun started! IF you do not run, you can always come and cheer on those who do!
The tradition of the annual Sacred Heart Fourth of July picnic still holds true. This year promises even more fun. The picnic gets bigger and better each year. Last year's picnic surprised us with pony rides and train rides for the children. We hope to see them there again this year. If not, we can still keep the children busy with games, prizes, car rides, huge bouncing blow-ups, and the dunking booth. You will have to wrestle the children to get them away from all of the fun.
Come see all of the pretty little girls and boys in the Fourth of July beauty contest. They are just too cute to miss! No fancy dresses or make-up here. See in there red, white, and blue finest attire. If you have a beautiful little one, it is not too late to enter him or her now!
Got a knack for treasure hunting? You have to make it to the auction. All types of neat and unusual items can be found! Do not miss the give aways either!
I hope that now you have had a ball and built up an appetite. The best part of the entire picnic is the homemade corndogs. They are great! Of course there are all sorts of other goodies if corndogs do not strike your fancy!
After a day of fun, hang around and kick the night off with the Fourth of July dance! This year the picnic is honored to have the special music from Jami Grooms and band. Tickets are on sale now. Grab them if you have not already!
This is one pcinic that you will not want to miss!
We hope to see you there!
