Race, Lies, Justice - the Megan Williams Recant
However, in a shocking press release on October 21, 2009, after over one year of incarceration for the suspects, Megan William's attorney announced that Williams wished to recant her stories of abuse and torture and wished for the defendants to be released from prison (Martin, 2009). Williams' attorney Byron Potts announced that Williams wished to recant her story and stated that she felt bad for the things the accused have went through and she wishes to make things right again (Martin, 2009). No reason has been given as to why the story is being recanted now after over one year or reasons as to why Williams would have lied about the incidents. Williams has yet to face the media and answer much needed answers concerning the recant of the story and the police refuse to release the defendants based on Williams' recant. Williams' family members have stated that Williams goes back and forth on whether the incidents even occurred.
Meanwhile, the citizens of West Virginia are outraged with many of those citizens throwing around racial accusations and demanding answers from the police. In a state that has been conflicted with racial tension for many years with some people of West Virginia holding to the traditional views of the south, despite the efforts to create an acceptance of racial differences, the Williams recant could possibly mount into a disturbing racial war. Currently, the authorities and society are awaiting a response from Megan Williams herself to obtain answers that many feel are long overdue. Could the Megan Williams recant result in the systematic breakdown of the criminal justice system yet again or will the authorities reveal evidence that indicates an even deeper plot into the lies behind the Megan Williams case?

If I feel the story needs to be heard as you say then I will post an article here and my other sites on behalf of you telling the story. Caregiver, you keep saying you will tell us so then tell us fact for fact what really happened then. My ears are always open to hear the truth as each person sees it. If you can give me details I would be more than happy to write an article strictly from your point of view in defense of yourself and the facts.

As I said I withhold my opinion until some facts are revealed so I just noone in this case so far. However, by all means if you are the caregiver as you say please feel free to pull up a chair and reveal the stories of Megan as you know it.

i refused it all you all do not know anything about what is going on megan try to cry kidnape in ohio and shayla try to cry rape now you tell me i gave out the phone number so people can know the real deal about the 2007 ordeal
Well I am holding back on my opinions until I start getting some facts from the authorities because I dont want to judge the caregiver or Megan without knowing the full details, which we may never know.
I feel sorry for the people who really helped this young woman. If this is true about the Caregiver she must be dealt with.
