Raising Funds for Cancer at Race for Life Walk on Sunday 18th July 2010

Denise Larkin
Why not take up walking for charity. It will keep you fit and healthy if you walk a little every day. Build up your walking each day before you sign up to take part in a walk. All you have to do is start off at thirty minutes walking per day, then build up to an hour after 3 days. Keep going each day and before you know it you will have built up the strength in your body to go walking for longer and to be able to take part in a charity walk. This week Race for Life will raise funds for Cancer Research this Sunday 18th July 2010. It is Race for Life for women only where many women will walk, run or jog at 5K. I will be one of the participants along with ten of my friends. We will be walking.

Every year, many women of all ages attend Race for Life to walk, jog or run all over the United Kingdom wearing pink. It is a widely known event with at least 230 events throughout the UK. There are also many companies in the UK that support Race for Life. One of them is Tesco's supermarket. Employees support Race for Life by running or walking on the day at an event nearer to their place of work. It is a fun day out for everyone.

Every pound raised in sponsorship or fundraising helps to fund the work of over 4,500 researchers, doctors and nurses dedicated to helping more people beat cancer. Entry costs £12.99 per person and this can be booked at http://www.raceforlife.org/

So, if anyone would like to sponsor me, even if it is just a small amount as it is for a good cause, then go to my sponsor page at http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/deniselarkin1 It will be greatly appreciated!
