This cheeseburger recipe takes a twist on the traditional cheeseburger by placing the cheese inside the hamburger. The cheese leaves the cheeseburger moist and flavorful making it one of my favorite Rachael Ray recipes. Although, this recipe calls for blue cheese, it's also great with pepper jack or using a flavored cream cheese.
Rachael Ray Recipe for Inside-Out Cheeseburgers includes the following ingredients:
½ cup crumbled blue cheese
2 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf parsley
1 ½ pounds ground beef
Salt and Pepper
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
If you will be using a skillet, you will also need 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and 2 tablespoons butter.
To serve Rachael Ray's recipe for cheeseburgers, be sure to have your favorite condiments on hand as well as lettuce and onion slices. This cheesburger recipe makes 4 servings and requires 30 minutes to prepare.
Preparation Instructions for Rachael Ray Recipe for Inside-Out Cheeseburgers
In a bowl mix together the blue cheese and cream cheese. Mix the cheeses together until smooth. Add the chopped parsley to the mixture and divide into 4 even parts. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes. Then in a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper and mix well. Divide the ground beef so you can form 4 hamburger patties of equal size. All of the hamburger patties should be about ¾-inch thick.
Remove the chilled cheese mixture from the refrigerator. Use your thumb to create an indent in the center of each hamburger patty and place the cheese inside. Cover the cheese with hamburger. Repeat this process until all of the hamburger patties have the cheese placed inside.
If you are using a skillet, place the oil and butter in the skillet and warm over medium-heat. If you are grilling, prepare the grill as you would normally. Once the skillet or grill is ready, add the cheeseburgers and cook for approximately 4 minutes on each side for medium. Cook longer if you prefer your cheeseburger well-done.
Place the cheeseburger on a toasted bun and top with your favorite condiments. Then enjoy. The cheese center oozes out of the cheeseburger to create a mouth-watering, appetizing cheeseburger. This Rachel Ray recipe for cheeseburgers is easy to make and sure to be one of your favorites.
You can make these Inside-Out Cheeseburgers from Rachael Ray up to one day in advance. Simply prepare the patties as directed above and wrap each of the raw patties individually in plastic wrap and refrigerate. This Rachael Ray cheeseburger recipes is ideal for get-togethers with family and friends.
