Rachael Romonas, Miss America Outstanding Teen Pageant Winner, in Hot Water After 24 Arrests at Party

Police arrested 24 people at the home of Rachael Ramonas, Miss. Connecticut's outstanding teen of 2008,for underage drinking, FOX reported. Rachael Ramonas is the 17-year-old who won the title of Miss.Connecticut outstanding teen. Rachel also competed for the Miss. America's Outstanding teen in August of 2008. Police were tipped off about the party being held at Rachael Ramonas's Wolcott, Connecticut, home. When police arrived they arrested 24 people for underage drinking. The names of those arrested have not been released. Reports are not clear if Rachael Ramonas was drinking at her party. According to the Miss. America's outstanding teen website, Miss America's Outstanding Teen competitions promotes healthy living, scholastic achievement and community involvement.

Rachael Ramonas is not the first beauty queen to be linked to underage drinking. Former Miss. USA winner Tara Conner also had her own much public alcohol and drug problems. Donald Trump announced the news that Tara Conner had tested positive for cocaine and also had issue with drinking. She was sent to rehab and had to move out of her luxury apartment in Trump Towers. Tara Conner publicly admitted to being a alcoholic. Tara Conner was given a second chance by Donald Trump at the Miss USA organization.

The day after Donald Trump announced Tara Conner would get a second chance, Former Miss. Nevada, Katie Rees, lost her crown. Katie Rees lost her crown over racy pictures were leaked to the media. The pictures showed Katie in a girl-on-girl kiss, showing off her G string after pulling her pants down and lifting her shirt and exposing her breast. Katie Rees was not given another chance to keep her Miss. Nevada title.

Beauty queens are human and have the same problems as the rest of the world. We raise them on a pedestal and give them a crown and want them to be perfect. Everyone makes made decisions at some point in their lives, Rachael Ramonas has made one. Regardless of if she was drinking or not, it was a bad position to be in. This situation brings to light the fact that underage drinking is still a serious issue in our country.
