What Really Defines Art?

By turning the radio to any station you are most likely to hear 1 of maybe the 6 or 700 of same songs. Too many of these songs have had more than enough of their time on the air. How about play something we've never heard before? Why not play music devoted to the fans of that scene, or music created out of an ambition to express a personal or cultural idea?

Every staion has their own repitoire, just like every band has (or should have) their own sound. So why am I hearing things that sound so much the same? If these artists are out of ideas for originality, then why can't they get laid off like everyone else? There is plenty of music out there, so why should it always be the same kind....

The next time you get sick of the same song you have heard a million times or more, just take a step back from the musical buffet. Let the djs spin what they want, and let the audience sort it out. I believe human nature is to self-destruct. How much different are the things we create and indulge ourselves in everyday?
