Ragging Dark on Light to Create the Garden Decor Interior
Ragging a dark paint color on top of a light paint color will give a different affect than doing the opposite. A darker color ragged onto a lighter color will give the illusion of more texture, and you will see more of the ragging lines on the bathroom walls.
Ragging Light on Dark to Create the Garden Decor Interior
Ragging light on top of dark will give a more marbled, subtle effect.
Before ragging an entire bathroom or an entire wall, try both methods on small test areas. This will help you decide which ragging method will give your bathroom the right garden decor look.
Materials Needed to for the Ragging Technique
In general, paints needed will include one dark color and one lighter color, in the same hue, or in a lighter, complementary color.
Start with a muted, or "grayed" out green that you like. This could be your base coat.
Next, pick a very light green in the same family. For example, if you picked a dark yellow-green as the base coat, pick a lighter yellow-green as the top coat.
Or pick a more neutral white or very light tan.
Also, the faux finish ragging technique requires some damp cloths.
Also purchase some faux glaze paint medium.
Protect your hands with some gloves (optioinal).

Ragging Used Interior Bathroom Walls: Applying the Base Coat
Apply a coat of green paint for the garden decor. Use brushes and or rollers, it's up to you. All areas should be covered. Do not worryabout it being "perfect" because the color will be mostly covered.
Let the paint dry.
Ragging The Glaze Color On the Bathroom Walls for the Garden Decor
The best way to achieve a natural, garden, and leafy feeling to the walls is to rag the glaze color on the walls. There are other ragging techniques, but ragging on will create the most texture.
Mix the glazing color with the glaze, according to the glaze directions.
Dip a clean rag into the glaze color, and then wring it out. Too much paint will cause unsightly drips!
Dab the glaze color-filled rag on the walls. Press the rag lightly, but cover all surfaces. Overlap the glaze color slightly, for a more seamless affect.
Tip: Too much ragging overlap will create dark patches.
Let dry.
Enjoy your new bathroom, with its garden decor!
