RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles - Makes Its Debut as the Theatrical Season Opener at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Oct. 4-16, 2011
Into each life a little rain must fall. But if we're talking about the musical group RAIN, that is a phenomenon that's welcomed 365 days of the year. Direct from Broadway their show RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles is making its debut at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts October 4 - 16 for two weeks only.
If you'd read any of my previous reviews you know I saw RAIN last year. It was by far one of the best shows I have ever seen. You don't have to be a Beatles fanatic to enjoy this show, though I wear that badge proudly. You do have to love music, be a little nostalgic, and be able to recognize an amazing performance. Above all, a sense of fun is a must. You will be caught up in a musical spell that will have you singing along, stomping your feet, and screaming for more. With a little help from their friends (including an amazing backdrop and costumes) these four men have got this gig down. To say that they sound like the Beatles would be an understatement. They ARE The Beatles once the house lights go down. We are taken on a magical mystery trip beginning with the four lads from Liverpool's appearance on the Ed Sullivan show - through their psychedelic phase and into their swan song of Let It Be. This is a show everyone will enjoy. Rock fans of South Florida rejoice, RAIN is back and they're bringing A Tribute to the Beatles to our town.
