Raisins and Grapes Kill Dogs

Stephen Joltin
According to Laurinda Morris, DVM at Danville Veterinary Clinic, Danville, Ohio, raisins and grapes can be deadly poisonous to dogs. As few as seven raisins could be deadly if not treated on time.

Most dog owners do not know this fact and often leave raisins out where dogs can eat them. And eat them they do. Some well intentioned dog owners give their pets raisins as a treat. Raisins and grapes cause acute renal failure in dogs.

Other treats which can kill your canine pet include chocolate, cocoa, onions and macadamia nuts according to snopes.com.

Please alert your friends who are dog owners.

Most people remember about the chocolate but not the raisins.

Steve my puppy dog took a whole bag of chocolate chips out of the grocery bag and had them in the living room, fortunately my husband caught her. I am glad for this information because I put raisins in my oatmeal cookies and I like to give her a little bite, no raisins for her!
