Ralphie May & Lavell Crawford Developing a Comedy Central Show

Ok gang, Comedy Central is at it again. The Hollywood Reporter has just announced a pending new deal between the comedy-oriented network and two of the biggest comedians in the entertainment business. And when I say big, I really mean BIG. These two headliners are known for their large comedy and their large waistlines. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Last Comic Standing veterans, Lavell Crawford and Ralphie May have reportedly struck a deal with Comedy Central to develop a new sitcom entitled Brother From Another Mother. These two comedy giants have long held their own on stage, but now Comedy Central wants to see if they can find just the right chemistry to make a hit show on television. The premise of the show leads us to believe that the audience is in for quite a ride as Crawford (who is black) and May (who is white) will portray lifelong friends who discover that they are actually brothers when their dad passes away and leaves them his barbecue restaurant. No further details are currently available as the scripts are still being developed.

According to Punchline Magazine, Brother From Another Mother will be executive produced by Ben Feigin, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum along with the show's stars Crawford and May. Also chipping in will be writer/executive producers Mitchel Katlin and Nat Bernstein. Not only is this fantastic news for the thousands of fans that have been enjoying the jokes of Crawford and May for years, but with all that talent Comedy Central has brought on board for the project the show should quickly become a TV favorite.

Good writeup--they are funny guys (I guess a "two tons of fun" joke would be appropriate here)
