Ramiele Malubay Says Goodbye to American Idol

Meanwhile Kristy Lee Cook Still Remains

Sally Albright
Wednesday night on American Idol we had to say goodbye to Ramiele Malubay. While I wasn't surprised to see Ramiele in the bottom three I didn't expect her to go, yet. It appears that she might not have expected to be voted off of American Idol either. I don't blame her though as I thought for sure that Kristy Lee Cook would finally say goodbye.

But why did Ramiele get voted off of American Idol? Ramiele Malubay gave a performance with a bit more personality this week on American Idol compared to performances past but, it wasn't enough. Her performance left something to be desired which helped to seal her fate as this week's American Idol cast off. Ramiele Malubay has never been pegged as a true contender on American Idol because while the girl can sing she isn't a Kelly Clarkson. I feel that the thing that hurt Ramiele's chances the most for winning American Idol was that her performances lacked the personality of a true pop star.

Still, had American Idol viewers paid more attention to this week's show they would have seen that Kristy Lee Cook still hasn't improved. Judging by her reaction to Simon's comments on Tuesday night, and even her wish not hear it repeated on Wednesday night, proves to me that she doesn't feel the need to make any improvements. Yet, she remains on American Idol despite this fact. Meanwhile I can't help but wonder, why?

Brooke White accompanied both Ramiele Malubay and Kristy Lee Cook in this week's bottom three. I am in disagreement with this decision as I felt that Brooke White's performance wasn't as bad as Simon made it out to be. Brooke has been one of the stronger performers on this season's American Idol though her voice isn't going to be enough to win the title of the next American Idol. Still her performance outshined that of Jason Castro who, after last night's performance, I had pegged as one of the bottom three.

Last week it was Chikezie and now this week it's Ramiele Malubay who has to say goodbye. My hopes for the future are that Kristy Lee Cook will be the next American Idol to say goodbye. Though from my predictions it will likely be Jason Castro instead.

It's not surprising if she was voted out. Yes she has a voice but she's not a performer! She still has inhibition on doing it all out!

You say you "disagree with this decision"; it wasn't a decision that the show or Simon Cowell made but rather that the other contestents had more votes than her.

I actually heard her sing and kind of liked her.
