Randi Rhodes Suspended for Rant on Hillary
Randi Rhodes was doing a routine stand-up when the attack came on Ferraro for saying that Barack Obama has only made it this far because he is black. Randi Rhodes let out a comment that shook the news and internet saying, "What a whore Geraldine Ferraro is, she's such a f-----g whore." Randi Rhodes then said that Hillary Clinton was a "Big F------ Whore too" as reported by Fox News.
After these comments and the targeted hit towards Hilary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro, Air America came back with a statement: "Air America encourages strong opinions about public affairs but does not condone such abusive, ad hominem language by our Hosts," said chair Charlie Kireker, as reported by Air America.
Did this statement help Air America with its listeners? Probably not but it did help to steer up the talk that is going around about their radio show and how Liberals like Randi Rhodes has continued to bash certain people on their show over and over again. I guess it was just time for them to put their foot down.
What does this mean for the left-wing talk radio show? I don't really think that it means anything and might even help them to get even more publicity once everyone starts to listen in to see if there is more talk about what had happened with Randi Rhodes.
Talk radio shows are mostly opinion based shows but saying what was said might have been a bit too much even if this was Rhodes opinion.
Some of the talk that is circulating around the internet has Rhodes shown as this innocent person who was merely doing a stand-up routine and should have not been suspended. Maybe that is all that it was, was a stand-up but then again, maybe Rhodes should have thought before speaking those words on a show like this.
A lot of people don't know what to think about the actions of Rhodes or the actions of Air America after they suspended Rhodes for the comments towards Clinton and Ferraro.
As a person who often listens to shows like these, I find the use of the F-word to be disrespectful even if they are doing a stand-up show.

And if I was did I ever say anything about your Cocaine abuse? Or did you share that with your audience? You can share what ever you like about yourself but until you know the facts about someone you should say anything at all that can hurt their credibility. Because your own credibility is at risk. But to you I was just a pee-on. Who care what you do to the guy trying to make it in the biz, right? Just as long as you keep up your image as a crude radio show host your still doing the job that got you your fans in the first place!!! Guess you always want to be on Radio unlike Glen Beck at least he was entertaining!!!

Randi (and most of AAR) has been bought by the Obama camp that's why her rants do not make sense and logic is not consistent--hmmm, just like the candidate she is trying to prop up. She's frustrated that she's got herself (I really think deep down she likes the Clintons but made a deal with the devil) into this mess so she's trying to get off the easy way by getting suspended on purpose.
This last year I think the public has finally gotten tired of in-your-face coarse commentary wherever it occurs. Maybe all producers need to start listening more carefully to what is being said and hire commentators who are able to speak without using vulgarisms. A nightclub act is okay, but on the airwaves, owned by the public and open to ages of all ears and varied sensitivities is not. It just sonds tiresome after a while and the words lose their punch. As for Rani Rhodes, why does someone who is so smart and articulate need to resort to such name-calling to get her ideas across? Is she trying to fill too many hours of air time? As for her gig off the air, let it go.
I agree with you 100%....now that Randi is an Obama supporter she can't sling enough mud towards Clinton. Since when do the democrats "eat their own??" I thought the object was to show america how rotten the republican run white house is...and here she is totally trashing Hillary just because she is not ahead in the polls and is not her pick for the white house.. I hope they keep her off permanently...I also have had to tune her out lately..she's just way to nasty to listen to.
