Proof that there are still working brains out there: The California Supreme Court's decision to revoke the gay marriage ban.

Proof that there are still malfunctioning brains out there: People vowing to fight gay marriage, religious extremists, racists, people wanting to drill for oil in protected areas, reality shows that degrade people, Ann Coulter and her kind, TMZ.com, people who think violent media is the sole reason individuals become violent (I'm glaring at you, Crazy Jack Thompson).

Oooooo, Miley Cyrus showed off her bare back in Vanity Fair a while ago. Wow, a bare back. Um, yeah, it must the Apocalypse if we see her bare back, so...er, run. Yeah.

Anyone remember Janet Jackson and the Super Bowl many moons ago? I recall she got most of the heat and shame-on-yous while Justin Timberlake, the guy who did the pull seen round the world, got off with an apology. Goody, now I have a solid reason to abhor him. Well, that and his good looks. Curse you and your handsomeness, Justin Timberlake!

Is it me, or when female celebrities do something "bad," they get more negative press, but when male celebrities do something "bad," it's all right later?

According to my understanding, TMZ is trying to make celebrities regular people. Last time I checked, regular people don't have guys with cameras following them and snapping pictures of them doing stuff.

Hey, here's an idea. Let's follow the paparazzi around and take pictures of them. Well, either that or sic a vicious dog or ten on them. Whatever works for you.

I can't laugh at America's Funniest Home Videos anymore. It's hard for me to do so when I know the guy getting hit in the crotch is feeling real pain.

I don't like it when tradition is used to justify intolerance, injustice, and inequality.

It would be nice to see a kids' show that teaches kids how to think rather than what to think. Let me know if you find one for me.

Caillou is a bad role model. Yes, there are morals and lessons on his show, but it doesn't change the fact he's a whiny little kid prone to tantrums.

I'm for gay marriage. Why deny homosexuals the right to marry and be happy or miserable together like other married couples?

I'm still waiting for someone to make that "Leave Miley alone" web video. Guess I'll have to wait until she's legally an adult.

I liked the Medium season finale. It wrapped up the subplots in a nice happy bow. That's a good idea if the show isn't coming back.

I'm not a fan of high gas prices, but I'm against drilling for more oil. Fixing a problem with short sighted solutions--it's a bad idea. I mean, we should think of future generations. Oh wait, there might not be any if we blow each other up because of silly reasons like land claims, whose religion is superior (real answer: none of them), and whose ideology is the greatest (real answer: none of them).

Two Harvard researchers found that there is no supporting data for the idea that violent video games cause children to be violent in real life. In other medical news, tobacco is addictive, smoking and chewing tobacco causes cancer, and too much alcohol drinking is bad for your liver.
