The first single off of Randy Jackson's Music Club Volume One is Dance Like There's No Tomorrow performed by Paula Abdul. The song is surprisingly solid. The song sounds extremely current and with all the vocal processing even Paula Abdul sounds like a decent vocalist.
The second single is My R&B performed by Barbie Esco. The song is a fairly solid R&B track. The song namedrops several R&B artists and songs. The beat, however, is fairly repetitive.
BeBe Winans, Kim Burrell, Rance Allen, Mariah Carey and Hezekiah Walker & The Love Fellowship Tabernacle Church Choir team up on I Understand. The track is a very strong gospel track with more commercial appeal than most gospel tracks.
American Idol finalists Katharine McPhee and Elliot Yamin team up on Real Love. The song is a harmless pop song with some elements of funk and blues in it. Both American Idol finalists deliver strong vocal performances.
The Crunk Squad team up with Ghostface Killah on Like A. The song is forgettable at best. The Crunk Squad are definitely not the strongest rappers out in the game. Ghostface Killah is a strong rapper yet his style does not fit with the track.
John Rich and Anthony Hamilton team up on Home. The song is a very solid country ballad. Both of the vocalists use their strong voices to their advantage on this mellow country jam.
Joss Stone joins the party on Just Walk On By. The song is very awkward sonically. Joss Stone shows off incredibly strong and unique vocals; however, the beat just does not do her voice justice.
Trisha Covington, KeKe Wyatt and Kiley Dean team up on What Am I So Afraid Of. The song is a solid pop-rock track with R&B roots.
On Who's Gonna Love You Now, Kelli Love delivers a very solid pop inspired ballad. The song is catchy and simplistic and one of the better tracks on the album.
Randy Jackson's Music Club Volume One is a solid collaborative effort. The album features several standout tracks and enough good music to satisfy most listeners. Randy Jackson's Music Club Volume One gets 7.5 out of 10. If you are a fan of American Idol judge Randy Jackson, make sure you pick up Randy Jackson's Music Club Volume One.
