Randy Moss a Good Fit in New England

When I heard that Randy Moss was sent to my favorite team, the New England Patiots, I was very excited. How could any Patriots fan not be?

Last year the Patriots biggest weakness, and the reason they did not make the Super Bowl, was because they had a lack of talent at the receiver position. This year, no one can make that same accusation.

The Patriots added one of the best receivers in the game when the acquired Randy Moss. Sure he has had some down season in Oakland, but everyone who goes to Oakland has bad seasons, it is like the black hole of the NFL.

The other reaosn that people don't like Moss for the Patriots is because of his attitude. There is no doubt that Moss was a problem in Oakland, but I think that he had an attitude problem because the team couldn't win. The Raiders were near the bottom of the NFL in wins every season Moss was there.

Moss was not such a distraction in Minnesota. While he did have some issues with his conduct while he was a Viking, it was not the same level of no-effort that he would put in in Oakland. Moss was young when he was in Minnesota, and he made some mistakes that a young, rich athlete would be expected to make.

Moss is now on a team that is built on winning. He is expected to win and that fits better with the competitor Moss is. Moss should not have the same problems that he had in Oakland, because he will not be sitting on the bench on a losing team.

Moss will also not have the problems he had in Minnesota because he is older now. Moss is now a veteran and he understands what it takes to win. His desire to get an NFL championship will drive him and he is now in the best spot in the league to realize that dream.

The main reason that Moss should be good in New England is the Bill Belicheck has had enough faith in him to bring him to New England. Belicheck has rarely misjudged the talent that he has signed and this should be another winner. It is hard to go against a team and a coach that have delivered so much success in the past decade.

Randy Moss, Wes Welker and Donte Stallworth should help to give New England a top-level receiving core for the first time since Belicheck took over as coach.
