Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have been arrested, again. This time for taking up residence in the guesthouse on the property they once owned without the current owner's permission and are now facing burglary charges.

Santa Barbara sheriff's deputies responded to a call Saturday that squatters had been living in the house. Once on scene, deputies discovered the Quaid's had taken up residence in the home. According to omg! News, The current owner bought the property in 2007. A contractor has reported more than $5,000 in damages has been done to the guesthouse.

Police arrested the Quaid's on charges of felony residential burglary and entering a non-commercial building without consent, the latter being a misdemeanor. Additionally, Mrs. Quaid has been charged with resisting arrest.

This couple can't seem to get their act together as this isn't the first time the Quaid's have had a run-in with the law:

Huffington Post reports in September 2009, the pair was accused of skipping out on a $10,000 bill at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California. They were charged with defrauding an innkeeper, conspiracy, and burglary when they used an invalid credit card to pay their tab.

The pair used the same credit card to pay their bill at the Santa Barbara luxury resort 'The Biltmore.' The Quaid's were eventually arrested in the small West Texas town of Marfa and released on bail. Charges against the actor were later dropped; Evi Quaid pleaded no contest to misdemeanor defrauding. She received three years probation and was ordered to perform 240 hours of community service.

In that case, the couple was to have appeared in court after each posted $100,000 bail. They were due to appear in court a few days later but failed to show up. They appeared in court two weeks after the original court date and the judge ordered their bond forfeited in April.

Randy Quaid, a native of Texas, is the older brother of actor Dennis Quaid. He is best known for his supporting roles as Cousin Eddie in the "National Lampoon's Vacation" movies and "Independence Day," and starred as President Lyndon B. Johnson in the film "LBJ: The Early Years."

UPDATE:

According to TMZ, the property owner sent his realtor to the house after the alarms had gone off. When he arrived, he found security cameras had been moved to face up and the house was trashed. A mirror worth about $7,000 had been broken - allegedly by the Quaid's - and the mailbox had Quaid's initials carved into it.

That's sad, what were they thinking. Are times so hard for them?
