Rap Artist "The Game" LAX Album Review

Retairment is Coming Soon for Former G- Unit Artist

SDR2010
Rap artist and actor "The Game" has been talking about the release of his upcoming album for the last year almost. The project has ever been given a release date several times but as the date approached the album was quickly and quietly pushed back. this left fans wondering when and if the album would ever see the light of day. For a while it was suspected that "The Game" would not be able to release the CD because of the problems that he has had with his record label Giffen and his former record label Aftermath. These production problems come from a rift within the G-unit group and lead 50 cent. Since "The Game" and 50 cent had a falling out Dr. Dre has disowned his former protégé and will no longer supply him with any beats. This makes it difficult for "The Game" to release music and get it distributed because of the fact that this rift resulted in "The Game" being kick off Aftermath records.

So it has been a year now since "The Game" announced that he would be releasing his third and final CD by the name of LAX, which is clearly taken from the airport in California where the artist is from. After much waiting the day is almost here and likely for fans the CD was released onto the Internet earlier this week. If you go to the artist website at comptongame.com you can listen to the album. You can also find it all over the Internet with a little bit of effort and any peer sharing program. I was able to download the CD via Napster for the cost of $10 and I was very impressed with what I heard. I have listened to "The Game" for years because I have a lot of friends from California who love him as an artist. I have heard all of his CD projects so fan and I must say that this new CD is probably the best of all three, which he has put out. He is also saying that this will be his last, which means you should get it while you can. I would rate this a 5/5 album because every song is well done and offers a lot of replay value. It features people like Nas, Lil Wayne and DMX just to name a few of the artists on the CD. It is well worth the money so pick it up when it hits stores on 8/26.

The CD includes 19 tracks in all with two skits, it features the song "Game's Pain" but also includes smash hits such as "My Life", "California Sunshine" and "Lax Files" which all follow the common content theme of the money that Game has come into as a result of his fame. These are some of the best tracks on the CD. I also enjoyed the song "State Of Emergency" because it shows the California flavor of music which is special. I would rate this CD a 4.5/5 because it is as good as his previous two CDs. If you are a fan I suggest that you go out and buy this project at your local record store.
